Alter Bridge’s Mark Tremonti has confirmed his second solo release with his band TREMONTI, following the worldwide success of the 2012 debut ‘All I Was’. New album ‘Cauterize’ will be released on June 8 via Fret 12 Records. The record features Mark Tremonti on vocals/guitars, Eric Friedman on guitars, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass, and Garrett Whitlock on drums. ‘Cauterize’ was produced long-time friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette. “We are extremely excited for the fans to hear this album,” enthuses frontman Mark Tremonti. “We feel it’s our best work to date.”
From the first riffs of album opener ‘Radical Change’ to the final notes of epic closer ‘Providence’, it’s apparent that Mark Tremonti’s songwriting has reached a new level. His unmistakable hard rock and heavy metal influences shine throughout the album, particularly on songs like ‘Flying Monkeys’, ‘Arm Yourself’, and ‘Sympathy’. The debut single from ‘Cauterize’ is up-tempo track ‘Another Heart’. The song was recently released on iTunes (smarturl.it/anotherheart) and promptly shot straight into the Top 5 of the iTunes US Rock Singles Chart. Watch the lyric video….
A second companion album of all new material from TREMONTI called ‘Dust’ has also been completed and more information on that will be revealed in coming months.

TREMONTI are also looking forward to hitting the road in support of the new album. However, the band will need to initially tour without bassist Wolfgang Van Halen due to the recently announced Van Halen US tour. “I am still part of TREMONTI and very excited for the release of ‘Cauterize’, but unfortunately am unable to participate in the upcoming dates due to my prior commitment with Van Halen for the summer tour in support of the Tokyo Dome Live In Concert album,” states bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. “Look forward to seeing all of the TREMONTI fans on the road as soon as my schedule permits!”
The forthcoming tour kicks off in the USA in April before heading over to Europe in June. The band will be making stops at some of the largest festivals in the world including Welcome To Rockville, Rock On The Range, Graspop, and the UK’s Download Festival (June 14). While in the UK, TREMONTI will also squeeze in a headline show in Glasgow, at the O2 ABC on June 15. Tickets for the headline date will go on sale shortly.
