As somebody much more wiser than me once said, “Never judge a book by its cover”. With a song title of ‘Waiting For Your Love’, I was expecting some easy listening but how wrong was I as it’s barroom boogie at its beer swilling, pool playing best, point proven by the full on fuzzed up intro that tears into not just a toe tapping stomp but a Godzilla one!
The lashings of slide guitar overload are a thing of aural beauty and the vocals of Troy sound as if they have been poured straight out of a honey flavoured Jack Daniels bottle. The production is so bullish it’s almost too claustrophobic but in a good way.
This serrating single will be released on May 21st 2021 and is the first song taken from the forthcoming studio album The Fire Cosmic! due for release on August 6th 2021 on his own label Red7 Records.
