It’s always good to stumble along looking for bands to review, so here is Vendetta Love, a very impressive Ireland based quartet who seem to be making the right noises. Grunge fuelled but still rock hard for the headbangers to, point proven by their recent single ‘Traced Out’.
A monolithic main riff raises the bar early with a suffocating vibe. Lyrics plead for some sort of salvation to me, but don’t take my word, have a look at the lyric video below. A watertight rhythm section of bass guitar bombardment and inventive, thought provoking drum patterns are all rounded off by a fretboard burning outro and one last vocal rant, all hammered out in just under three rampant minutes!
Now, with ‘Traced Out’, Vendetta Love are set to turn up the volume once again. Fresh out of the studio and ready to ignite 2025, this new track promises huge riffs, gritty vocals, and the band’s signature fusion of brooding intensity and raw power.
Speaking of the new single, vocalist/guitarist, Shawn Mullen said; “It’s a song that deals, directly, with the loss of my little brother. I was waiting for the right moment, the right sound or melody, to speak about him. And not in a rose-tinted glasses way either. I wanted whatever the fuck I was going to say to be real and true to my experience with him. And so you have Traced Out. I think he’d like it. I’ve never written so directly before. It’s done now. Let it lie.”
