Wardance Release Debut Video And EP on 2nd October

Wardance

Wardance have just revealed the video for their riff-drenched debut single ‘Free Radicals’ that was premiered on Disorder who say, “Exploding onto the grunge scene in a blaze of riffs, Wardance are undeniably the hottest thing at the moment. Playing a heavy mix of glam, grunge and Britpop… the band’s sensational debut track ‘Free Radicals’ [is] being universally acclaimed for its riffs, rhythm, and mind-blowing vocals.”

The fuzz-filled single is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut EP Wardance that will be released on October 2nd on new indie label The Sound OF Everything UK.

The Wardance EP has been produced by Sean Genockey (Futureheads, Suede, Jesse Hughes) and opens with the high octane debut single ‘Free Radicals’ leading into the furious and screeching ‘Reality’ with catchy choruses and bouncing breakdowns, that saw Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan recently tweeting the band his support.

‘Guiding Light’ shows the more reflective side of their songwriting without losing any impact mixing classic sounds from early ’90s Seattle rock with a distinctly British sensibility. ‘Come Alive’ is a deranged Indie/Alternative belter closing the EP and staying true to Wardance’s sound of thick guitars, lo-fi vocals and monstrous bass.

Pulsating in the midst of an exciting grunge resurgence that’s powering across the UK, the Wardance EP is rough and ready with influences from the 90’s elite of Nirvana, Weezer and early Soundgarden yet jagged with a harder edge of gnarled Brit-rock swagger.

Wardance have already built up a dedicated London following from relentless gigging in the city, which has seen them play sold out shows at The Barfly, Purple Turtle and The Tram & Social amongst many more. The band continue to bring their sweaty, intimate shows to the capital this summer. Upcoming Wardance tour dates can be found below:
