Weaponry drop new track and video

Fast rising Brit crossover crew WEAPONRY have dispatched a blistering new single and video, Something I Lack, through all platforms. Watch the video for the track, here – https://youtu.be/_x8_tuqUB_U

WEAPONRY are a family unit with diverse musical tastes and varying influences. Lead singer Al Bristow and bassist Jay Rozentals (brothers through marriage) join Dan and Max Ashworth, a father and son guitar duo, with Dan and Al being friends for over twenty years. In January 2020, the band adopted new drummer Tim Doyle to complete their line-up and solidify their sound. With a diverse melting pot of styles that are based around expressing bleak and intense tapestries that are potent and powerful, the post hardcore crew attempt to find hope in every story. The Reading quintet have already been greatly praised for their energetic performances, aided by their creative use of props and an indifference for their own safety when on stage and off. Armed with a live set of songs that are engrossing and truly captivating, the UK noisemakers are fast becoming a must-see act.

The post-hardcorers have a vibrant DIY ethos and are extremely hands-on. The band produce almost everything in-house, from producing their own music videos, painting artwork, and crafting sculptures for releases, through to handling their own photo shoots, designing all of their merchandise and logos, and booking their shows. The band also shoot a weekly show on their YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9oSXemxfrJmJve7dHLMJ7w ) called No Lasting Memories. The basis of the show is to give an insight into the behind the scenes aspects of being in a band, and how to keep promotion going while live shows are off the table.

With live music paused, WEAPONRY have shifted their attention to writing and recording. The fiery fivesome have just  released a new and explosive track, Something I Lack. The single is an emotive and full-bloodied attack of the senses. Delivering a barrage of riffs, pounding drums and all-consuming vocal lines, the song is a formidable declaration. Vocalist Al Bristow remarks: “’Something I Lack’ is my worry that I will follow in my father’s footsteps of alcoholism and addiction by trying to fill the hole he left in my life. I only saw my father a handful of times before his death from addiction, creating a cycle of suffering.”
