When Rivers Meet

I’m not sure whether the lack of gigs in 2020 has anything to do with it but with my writing, I looked beyond rock/metal for new horizons and one band that really caught my attention were the husband and wife duo of When Rivers Meet.

In November I reviewed their stunning debut album We Fly Free and my favourite track from it ‘Walking On The Wire’ has just been released as the third single taken from it. Grace Bond handles lead vocals along with mandolin and fiddle whilst Aaron provides vocals and guitar.

It’s one of the heaviest album tracks as slide guitar resonates with verve over angelic twin vocals, a seismic drum pound, bubbling bass guitar and four months later it still reminds me of ‘Angie Baby’ by Helen Reddy!

I’ll leave the last words to Grace. “We love this song and we know you will be joining us on the choruses. Sing it loud as we blend and weave our vocals around different harmonies which is something we love to do and we get to rock out at the same time. What could be more fun?”.
