The autumn nights may be drawing in, but while the outside temperature is falling, here at WildFire HQ things are really hotting up. Nothing gets you through the colder months, quite like having something to look forward to next summer, so get set for the next big announcement from Scotland’s premier 3-day rock and metal festival.
Building on the success of 2014’s event, the plans for 2015 are already well under way. Kicking off this next stellar array of main stage bands for WildFire 2015 with a WildFire exclusive. One name popped up again and again when we asked the fans who they wanted to see in 2015, away from our rock and metal heartlands. Well you asked and we made it happen, we are stupidly excited to announce that Midlands punk rock powerhouse Max Raptor will be making the trip north of the border to blow the roof off the Wildfire main stage. Veterans of Download and Sonisphere, Max Raptor promise to raise the temperature beyond boiling point.
From comparatively new blood, to seasoned veterans. Bringing the metal we are delighted to announce that legendary British thrashers Anihilated will be flying the flag for the old school. Since reforming in 2010 Anihilated have gone from strength to strength and they’re coming to WildFire to break necks. Thrash fans will be well served at WildFire, with Anihilated and Lawnmower Deth heading an array of the best up and coming thrash bands on the UK scene. The unbeatable line up of talent sees them joined by County Wexford’s Animator alongside Lancashire’s hottest thrash property Solitary.
You ask, we listen. By popular demand we announce the return of one of the highlights of LesFest 2014, Edinburgh’s sickeningly-good-for-their-age thrashers Disposable will be coming back to Wiston Lodge for 2015. A double bill of the hottest local talent sees two of Scotland’s fastest rising names grace the stage at Wildfire. Exile The Traitor and Scordatura are two of the leading lights of the Scottish scene, and next summer’s shindig at Wiston Lodge offers the opportunity to catch them both. Rounding off this latest announcement of 2014, and keeping up the WildFire “something for everything” mantra we’re also delighted to welcome the “aggressive not progressive” Balls Deep, modern metal merchant’s Death Valley Knights and stalwarts of the resurgent UK grunge scene Resin to the WildFire 2015 party.
