Wildfire Festival Announce 7 on 7th

Wildfire Festival 2015
Wildfire Festival 2015

What better way to banish the winter blues than with another red hot Wildfire announcement, fresh off the press here at Les-Fest HQ.

Occasionally a band comes out of nowhere and just blows you away. After catching a show stealing performance in the summer, Empire rocketed pretty much straight to the top of our “must have” list. Tight, melodic and with one of the best frontmen in the UK, the band will make the long trip up from the south of England to grace the Wildfire main stage. You do not want to miss these guys on a rare Scottish appearance.

Another band who played their way onto the Wildfire bill (in their case with an unforgettable performance on the roof of their transit van for an impromptu after-hours set) Edinburgh stalwarts Firebrand Super Rock bring their classic metal to the Wiston Lodge party.

Some heavy metal of the classic variety next. Coming in at number 6 in a recent list of “10 NWOBHM bands that are better than ever” Hull’s Salem will be joining headliners Tygers Of Pan Tang in flying the flag for the old school at Wildfire.

If sheer hard work alone could get you to the top, then Black Country scene stalwarts Liberty Lies would already be there. Having toured alongside Halestorm and Shinedown, Liberty Lies have hohned their craft to near perfection and on the back of their debut album Reflections are making a noise in the UK scene.

Making an altogether different noise, Ex-mishkin main man Jimmy MacGregor brings his Pteroglyph project north of the border for a Scottish exclusive performance.

Also making the trip over Hadrian’s Wall are awesome Manchester outfit Bigfoot. They describe themselves as “Sludge Riffin, Toe Tappin, Ass Slappin” and we’re not about to argue with that.

Concluding our magnificent 7, Edinburgh based groove metallers Dog Tired make a welcome return to the Wiston Stage after a succesful Les-Fest debut, followed by a triumphant performance at this year Bloodstock, there was no way we could not have them back.

Another day, another 7 awesome bands. We’re sure this is a great way to round off the last Wildfire announcement of 2014, and it’s just in time for you to head over to the Wildfire website to secure your tickets in time for Christmas.”
