Wildfire Festival announce six new bands, including Sunday headliner Dorje

With June creeping ever closer, Wildfire Festival’s impressive main stages line-up is all but finalised but there’s still time to announce a further 6 bands. With the imminent arrival of stage 3 announcement to complete what will be an outstanding weekend, Scotland won’t know what’s hit it when the gates of Wildfire open for 3 days of rock and metal mayhem on Friday 24th June!

Wildfire Festival

With Dorje riding high after the success of their Catalyst EP, their addition as Sundays headliners (in place of the sadly missing in action Riot V) is credit to their burgeoning reputation and classic mix of alt metal & prog metal. Expect pure emotion amidst a sea of tempo changes, intricate riffing and self-described “chubby grooves”!

Lending considerable heft to proceedings are London’s 48 Hours; a heavy-riffing rock machine with an arsenal of anthems at their disposal and a feral mix of pure metal power and rock melody.

The darkened demeanour of Dead Dollar Days will add a sense of delicious drama when their Life Of Agony meets Royal Blood meets Queens of the Stone Age-esque rock ‘n’ roll hits Scotland.

The hard rock of Gasoline Outlaws may sound like it should come from the sweaty swamps of the U.S’s southern states but these boys actually hail from Northern Ireland and are bringing their time-honoured, attitude-driven rock ‘n’ roll across the Irish sea to Scotland’s shores.

Propelled by the stunning vocals of Steph Kane, Stacey Kane & Chez Kane, Swansea’s Kane’d are the equivalent of a heavy metal Wilson Philips and their dramatic delivery, lush harmonies and classic rock riffs are sure to unleash a barrage of badass balladry when they hit the Wildfire stage.

Last but not least, The Idol Dead are old favourites from last year’s event and their punk infused rock ‘n’ roll will surely be just as impressive the second time around; idol is certainly not how we’d describe their high energy show!

6 new additions. 6 distinct sounds.

Which leaves Wildfire’s rather tasty line-up looking something like this:

48 Hours, A Jokers Rage, All Consumed, Altered Sky, Apriori, Avenford, Baleful Creed, Banshee, Black Nevada, Broken Chords, Cairo Son, Chasing Dragons, Colour of Noise, Crowsaw, Dead Dollar Days, Demons Of Old Metal, Dendera, Die No More, Divine Chaos, Dorje, Dukes of Bordello, Excellent Cadaver, Fireroad, Forever Never, Gasoline Outlaws, Gormathon, Halo Tora, Hellbound Hearts, Hell’s Addiction, Inglorious, Kane’d, Mason Hill, Massive Wagons, Maverick, Nest of Vipers, One Last Run, Orangefall, RSJ, Rusted Hero, Screaming Eagles, Sinocence, Sky Valley Mistress, Soldier, Solitary, Spartan Warrior, Stone Broken, The Deep, The Idol Dead, The King Lot, Thirteen Stars, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Turbyne, Vardis, Vice, Wretched Soul.

With Wildfire Festival 2016 featuring recognised global names and the absolute cream of UK acts – from cult New Wave Of British Heavy Metal bands to bruising purveyors of thrash and death metal and the hard rock stars of the future – the past, the present and the future of hard rock/heavy metal is fully represented and Wildfire Festival is the grassroots festival to attend in 2016!

Wildfire Festival – Scotland’s only 3 day rock and metal festival – returns to the stunning grounds of Wiston Lodge on 24-26 June and will play host to over 60 acts over 3 stages. Celebrating its 5th anniversary in considerable style, these latest additions confirm that Wildfire is getting ‘bigger and better’ each and every year!
