Summary:

Will Wilde lives up to his name as he unleashes 'Wild Man', the first single taken from forthcoming studio album Blues Is Still Alive, to be released on February 28th, 2025 via Vizz Tone Records.

I would never have thought that the blues could be so powerful until I recently heard ‘Wild Man’ by Brighton based Will Wilde, the first single taken from his forthcoming studio album, Blues Is Still Alive who tears up the rule book with ease, released via Vizz Tone Records on February 28th, 2025.

It’s a raucous, dirty twelve -bar shuffle, channeling the spirit of Chicago. Will proclaims,”This one is for the hardcore blues fans. It’s a bit of fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously, point proven by a lyric of “When it comes to playing harp, I’m the finest on the scene, when it comes to making love, I’m the best there’s ever been.”

His forte is his harmonica and his vocals are no slouch either as Will puts the pedal to the metal. My view on the single is it’s a lowdown and dirty foot tapper as five frantic minutes fly by on sleazy guitar lines, bass guitar bombast, sultry keyboards, heart melting backing vocals, a spotlight stealing harmonica rampage and a lung shredding lead vocal. Job well and truly done!
