Hi David,

Thought I’d send a word of thanks to you (and Lynne at Rocksector) for the tickets and CDs
from the competition for last night. It was a superb evenings entertainment.
The Asylum is a ‘proper’ small gig venue – sweaty, sticky floor and with great acoustics.

We’d not seen Babylon Fire before, but enjoyed them a lot. Hopefully we’ll get to see them
again (especially once I’ve listened to the CD). I’d heard a few Absolva tracks before, and
it was obvious that the good sized crowd were well into them as they delivered a pounding
set. For us though, the stand out for the evening were Exit State. A superbly tight performance,
made up with a few tracks from the forthcoming album (which sounded great), and a couple of
‘classics’ in I Know Where You Are, and their closer Death Of A Rockstar.

On a night when I could have stayed at home and watched the Eurovision song contest,
I got proper music played with heart and passion. A double win situation :)

Thanks again

Pete
