.@Planetmosh @AnybodyBC reviews ”Tibi Et Igni’ by @vaderband released via @nuclearblasteu
Hailing from Poland, these recognizable death metal legends will never get old. Playing already for 31 years now, Vader storm out again and releases new album, called ‘Tibi Et Igni‘.
An attention catching album title ‘Tibi Et Igni’, a Latin phrase meaning ‘For You And Fire’ and a classy proper and still stylish album cover (beware, it might hypnotize you!) are the very first things one sees together with this new album. It seems that both of them reflect the content inside very well. The set of ten songs (12 if you’ll get the digipak), starts with a track, called ‘Go To Hell’. It’s a long solemn intro and then that classic Vader trademark death metal sound that continues through to the very last of the album. To be precise, this album contains quite a lot of solemn sounds when it breaks out from the constant neck-breaking death metal riffs, as well as some great melodic guitar solos.
The album is one continuous set of well prepared solid tracks with a taste of aggressive enjoyable guitar riffs. OK, so the album does not offer anything groundbreaking besides that trademark quality Vader sound, a precisely made cover (made by legendary Joe Petagno) and from that point of view it will be a joy for Vader’s fans. Anyway, Vader is not really about the invention, we are used to hearing them this way and it is infectious! I have no doubts that this will sound even better live on the stage.
Reviewer’s pick of the album – ‘Triumph of Death’ – definitely the most memorable and catchy track in the album.
‘Tibi Et Igni’ by Vader is a solid set of neck-breaking and bones crushing death metal tracks. The album must be in every Vader fan collection, although if you are the kind of person who loves experiments and innovations then this album most likely won’t be for you.
