All consumed – post-Bloodstock interview

All ConsumedWhile we spoke to a lot of bands both signed and unsigned at Bloodstock, we were unable to manage to speak to all the up and coming  bands who played the New Blood stage, so have been catching up with the ones we missed to see how they enjoyed their Bloodstock experience

Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band?

Rob – Guttural aggression (Vocals)

Darren – Sludgy Thrashy Grooves (Guitar/Backing Vocals)

Joe – Brown note enthusiast (Bass)

Dave – Bongo’s from hell (Drums)

Featuring veterans of local bands such as Drain, State Of Filth and Mass Of Bastards, Preston’s All Consumed was never going to be a pretty prospect. Formed two years ago by Rob (Vocals), Darren (Guitar) and Joe (Bass), the trio began writing material with a drum machine before recruiting a human in the form of Dave.

How would you describe your sound?

Our sound is simple, quick blasts of old school, deathly nastiness.

What has been the bands biggest achievement so far?

Our biggest achievement, by far was Bloodstock. Having only been gig ready for 12 months, we are proud to say “We played the “Stock””.

Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?

It’s a big festival to play for any band, but to be at our level and play there, you couldn’t ask for more.

What was your initial reaction when you found out you were playing on the New Blood Stage?

We’ll never forget being announced as the local winners from the Metal to the Masses competition held at Blitz nightclub in Preston, by Rampage events. It was such a buzz. Champagne was drunk into the wee hours.

How did you feel your set went?

We were totally satisfied with our set…great sound and we played well. It couldn’t have gone better. Although with Carcass playing on the main stage, we couldn’t compete with that, but really enjoyed the atmosphere there was in the tent, a really good crowd.

How did you enjoy your Bloodstock experience?  Any particular highlights?

Bloodstock was a blast. Enjoyed the whole band camaraderie and let’s not forget the ‘artists’ wristbands.

Did you get to watch many bands?  If so who did you enjoy seeing?

Great set from Obituary ,enjoyed Decapitated. Impressed by newer bands like Old Corpse Road, Morgue Orgy and Hogslayer to name a few.

Can you sum up Bloodstock in one sentence!

Bloodstock…where else can you be deafened, sunburnt and soaked in one weekend?

Any message you wish to pass on to the PlanetMosh readers?

Give us a listen guys and if you like us, spread the word and let’s get on Bloodstock 2015 .
