Summary:

This is a rare album - an instrumental album that I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to.

Delicate Steve is a guitarist who plays all the instruments on this record.  The album is an instrumental album, which would normally result in my hitting the Eject button after a couple of tracks, but this album is something very rare – a truly enjoyable instrumental album.  The tracks all stand up well individually as great pieces of music, and when put together as an album are all very different from each other, so you don’t even get a hint of the monotony that you get with many instrumental albums (which far too often are released by guitarists just to show off their playing).

Check out the two videos here and you’ll hear for yourself just how different they are from each other.  “Winners” is one of my favourites on the album with it’s nod to “Mrs Robinson”, but all the tracks here are excellent.

This is a rare album – an instrumental album that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to.  This is the best instrumental album I’ve heard in a long time.  Highly recommended.

“This is Steve” will be released on 27th January 2017
