Let me start by giving you a small introduction to the deadly Nervosa: originating from Sao Paulo, Brazil, they began forming in 2010 and finally became the line up we love in 2013 with the arrival of Prika Ferraz on drums.  This created this unit of metal awesomeness, and they began uniting various styles of music to create their shared passion… thrash metal.

I’m a sucker for bands which record music in their native tongue as I believe this shows an endless stream of talent and culture within the music so upon first glance of the track list I was very excited to see there is a track called Guerra Santa (which I have to say did not disappoint in the slightest).

The album kicks off with a track called Arrogance which (if you’re listening for the first time) is a perfect introduction to the band. This track has a way of creating vision and empowerment, it is rather incredible considering there are only three members within the band! The quick pace is something which never seems to end throughout this album, which leads us perfectly into the deadly track Theory Of Conspiracy which has a killer guitar solo backed up by thunderous drums.

The track I would pinpoint for being the most catchy would have to be Intolerance Means War. The drums throughout this track are rampant and very catchy, in fact it makes you want to bang your head from the offset.  The guitars keep the energy going, not to mention the thundering bass and beastly vocals throughout this track.

The growl at the beginning of Deception is one which would awaken the gods from their eternal slumber, it is just amazing. Once again the guitar riffs in this track are ones which you could picture riding into the battle ground in full combat armour ready to slay any beast, I would have to say this by far is my personal favourite track from Agony.
