Summary:

These two tracks are both great - rock and roll and punk combine to give songs which are great to listen to and are packed with attitude. Based on these songs I'm really looking forward to hearing the album as this release suggests we can expect great things from the album.

The Bermondsey Joyriders - Brian Jones (The real leader of the rolling stones)London Punk-Blues trio The Bermondsey Joyriders are releasing a double A side single in April.  The single pays tribute to two rock icons, Johnny Thunder (New York Dolls) and Brian Jones (Rolling Stones).  The band will be following the single with the release of their third album, “Flamboyant thugs” at the end of May.

The members of The Bermondsey Joyriders are all experienced musicians – Gary Lammin (vocals / guitar) and Martin Stacey (bass) played  in the Joe Strummer-produced Little Roosters and Generation X precursors Chelsea respectively, while Chris Musto (drums) has previously played with Johnny Thunders, Joe Strummer and Nico.

“Brian Jones (The real leader of the rolling stones)” does a superb job of blending punk with the classic Rolling Stones sound to produce a superb track that has a punk feel while still having a big memorable chorus.

“Johnny Thunders was a human being” reminds me of some of the early Alice Cooper albums and is another great song.
